What to Expect

Going somewhere new for the first time can be an anxious experience. So, here are few things you can expect (and not expect) when you come to The Church at Martinsburg. First, don’t expect a big performance, light shows and mini-concerts. There’s nothing wrong with that; it’s just not our style. Don’t expect us to put you on the spot either. We certainly want to know who you are and help you to be as comfortable as possible; we’ll have opportunities for you to give up your anonymity at your own pace.

What should I wear?
We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. Most people will dress in casual weekend attire, so dress how you feel comfortable and you’ll fit right in.

In Scripture, the church is often referred to as a family. When we gather together on Sunday, you are a guest coming over to our house. We’re glad that you came and we want you to have the most meaningful experience possible.

Each week we want you to be able to experience relevant teaching of the Bible, passionate worship and a casual atmosphere. And we know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions. How do I get there… what should I wear… what’s available for my kids… what should I expect in church?

Here is a quick look at what you can expect each week at The Church at Martinsburg:

How do I get there?
Click for directions / location information.

Where should I park?
Park your vehicles in any vacant spot in the Regal Cinemas parking lot.

What’s available for my kids?
We have a great children’s experience every Sunday: G4 Kids is designed to help your children connect with God, with each other, and with the mission. There is a secure and simple registration process that you will be walked through at the registration table. We have three areas for children (Motion 6wks-2 year olds, Discovery - 3-5 year olds, and Launch - K-5th grade)

What should I expect in church?
Expect a very casual atmosphere. Grab some coffee as you make your way to your seat. Then experience connection with real people who are there for the same reason you are. Sit back (or stand up) and enjoy passionate worship and encouraging Biblical teaching.

Complete the Connect Card.
You will receive The Loop when you enter. Inside the Loop you will find a Connect Card. This is our way to communicate with you. This card is our way of getting to know you better. You can complete as much information as you feel comfortable and turn it in when the service is over at the welcome center.

Enjoy the Experience
We hope it will become the best hour of your week. You will meet some incredible people, enjoy quality worship and also, our pastor, Jacob Atchley, will lead you through practical, timeless truths that can change your life!
